FARES AND INCLUSIONS GUIDE

How Much Does Baiyun Express Cost in 2027?

The published 2027 Baiyun Express fare is CNY 88,880 per guest for a Yunqi Yayun room or CNY 108,880 per guest for a Yunqi Lanyue suite on the 18-day Xinjiang program. Ili to Kuqa Route C carries a published supplement of CNY 6,000 per guest. Treat these as reference fares until the selected departure, room, route, inclusions and payment terms are confirmed in writing.

Baiyun Express is sold as a multi-day travel program rather than a point-to-point railway ticket. A useful price comparison therefore looks beyond the cabin and checks the complete itinerary, destination hotels, meals, visits, transfers, route supplements and contract terms.

Published Baiyun Express Fares for 2027

The current 18-day Xinjiang program publishes two per-guest reference fares:

  • Yunqi Yayun: CNY 88,880 per guest
  • Yunqi Lanyue: CNY 108,880 per guest
  • Ili to Kuqa Route C supplement: CNY 6,000 per guest

The same prices should not be applied to a different Baiyun Express journey. The separate 11-day Cloud Sanctuary program publishes its own room fares, while the tailored 9-day southern route requires a private proposal.

Why Do Lanyue and Yayun Have Different Fares?

The main published difference is the private onboard room. Yunqi Lanyue is a 14 m² twin suite with a two-seat sofa, minibar and wardrobe. Yunqi Yayun is a 10.2 m² twin room with combinable beds, a folding sofa and storage. Both categories publish an en-suite bathroom.

Lanyue also has much lower inventory: six suites across two carriages, compared with 40 Yayun rooms across ten carriages. A higher fare does not automatically make Lanyue the better choice for every traveler. Compare space, bed arrangement, storage, availability and mobility needs before deciding.

What Should a Written Fare Include?

Ask for an itemized written quotation rather than relying on the headline price. The quotation should state whether the following items are included, excluded or separately charged:

  • onboard room category and occupancy
  • destination hotels and room basis
  • meals on the train and at destinations
  • listed sightseeing and first-entry tickets
  • coaches, smaller vehicles and scenic-area transport
  • onboard and destination travel support
  • luggage handling arrangements
  • route-specific activities and supplements

If an item matters to your decision, ask for it to appear in the quotation or contract. A photograph, itinerary summary or verbal message is not a substitute for written inclusion details.

Which Extra Costs Should You Check?

The published Route C supplement is not the only possible cost to discuss. Depending on the booking and traveler, additional spending may include international and domestic transport to Guangzhou, pre-departure accommodation, visas, travel insurance, personal shopping, optional activities and services not named in the contract.

  • single-occupancy or room-use conditions
  • selected route supplements
  • optional transfers before or after the journey
  • special room or hotel requests
  • changes made after confirmation
  • payment or currency-conversion charges
  • services caused by a delayed inbound journey

How to Compare Value With Another Luxury Train

Do not compare two train journeys by price alone. Normalize each proposal by duration, train nights, hotel nights, room privacy, bathroom arrangement, destination coverage, included transport and group size.

  1. Confirm that both prices are per guest and use the same occupancy basis.
  2. Separate the onboard room from the full land-and-rail program.
  3. Compare the number and standard of destination hotel nights.
  4. Check whether major visits, local transport and meals are included.
  5. Add route, single-use and optional-activity supplements.
  6. Compare written change, cancellation and refund terms.

Baiyun Express Fare Questions

Is CNY 88,880 the price for every Baiyun Express journey?

No. It is the current published per-guest reference fare for Yunqi Yayun on the 18-day 2027 Xinjiang program. Other journeys have separate pricing.

Does the fare guarantee a particular departure or room?

No. Departure operation, inventory, route and room assignment remain subject to availability and written confirmation.

Where should I confirm the final amount?

Use the CTS.cn presales consultation contact shown on the Baiyun Express booking page and request a written quotation. The contact role does not mean that CTS.cn operates the train or acts as a railway authority.
